Paul Sheedy was recruited by Norwood from the Banks Football Club in the Northern Territory Football Association.

He made his league debut for the Redlegs in round 16, 1987.

Sheedy showed promise as a tall, key forward and played five league games in his first season at The Parade.

In 1988 he made another 11 appearances for the Redlegs league side, but struggled to hold down a regular spot.

His last senior game was in round one of the 1989 Foundation Cup pre-season competition.
