BIO

In 1965, Dean Sutter played in the Norwood Under 19 (Thirds) premiership side and was named the team's best forward for the season.

The following year he made his league debut in the first round against Sturt.

He had impressed at centre half forward in the internal trials with his confident marking and strong kicking, and as a result was selected to play in the key attacking position in his first senior game. Champion goalsneak Ian Brewer was at full forward.

Sutter played 14 league games in his first year of senior football and was named best first year player, winning the  McCallum trophy.

Unfortunately, he broke a leg in December 1966.

After only playing  a handful of games for the reserves in 1967, and none in 1968, Sutter appeared four times in the 1969 league team.
