BIO
Michael Thompson was recruited from the Tea Tree Gully Football Club. He played 16 games for the Norwood Under 19's, and was a member of its 1990 Premiership team.
The lightly framed, agile ruckman made his League debut the following year, in a pre-season Foundation Cup match against North Adelaide.
Thompson played in the 1993 Grand Final loss to Woodville/West Torrens, and reached the 50 League game milestone in 1994.
In 1995, Thompson played in the Reserves Premiership win, and the following season he received a Five Year Valuable Service Award.
Having already had stints with the Roopena Football Club in the Whyalla Football League, Thompson continued his football with them, once his time at the Parade had finished.
He returned to Norwood as a Committee member in 2003.
