BIO
John Wiesner attended Adelaide Boys High School before joining Norwood and playing for the Reserves in 1957. He made his League debut in Round 3, 1957. A good mark, he was regarded as a safe defender, who was more reliable than flashy.
Playing at centre half back, he was a key member of Norwood's eight point win over Port Adelaide in the 1960 Reserves Grand Final.
Wiesner played predominantly as a key defender and was awarded a Player's Five Year Certificate after the 1961 season.
